A UK based Chartered Surveyor, (General Practice) since 1970 and became a Fellow of the Institution in June 1985. He was a part-time executive of Caledonian Trust plc, a director with Hartley Cowley Surveyors until September 1993 and then traded as McGregor Chartered Surveyors. He was on the RICS Chairman’s panel for dispute resolution.
In 1993 he opened an office in Czechoslovakia and in 2005 teamed up with Hunter Fund Managers to established St Wenceslas Property, investing in the Visegrad four.
In 1999, he teamed up with Professor George Hazel, a transport engineer, to form E-Rail Ltd to provide innovative finance for transport projects through the harnessing of land value uplift. The company has worked on some 40 projects throughout the U.K., Canada, and Australia.
